Overview About City University

City University Malaysia was established in April 1984 by a consortium of esteemed scholars. Initially recognized as Petaling Jaya Community College, the institution achieved the prestigious status of a full-fledged university in 2016.

The University is part of U.C.I. Education Sdn. Bhd. and operates alongside City University Press. City University Press is responsible for publishing CUeJAR, a quarterly international e-journal that undergoes a double-blind peer review process and is freely accessible.

City Education Group consists of two higher learning institutions: City University Malaysia and City Academy. Additionally, the University houses three Centers of Excellence, including a 'Research and Management Centre,' 'City Graduate School,' and a 'Centre of Language Studies.'

Functioning as a research university, it provides five MQA-accredited doctoral programs in business, information technology, design, and education.
